Our Services

Assessments & Reports

All therapeutic interventions will firstly require an initial appointment and potentially a period of assessment. Informing baseline information is a vital part of the Occupational Therapy and information gathering process and is based on individual or group context, circumstances and need.

Recommendations and Therapies

Following the initial appointment, assessment period and identification of individual or collective strengths, difficulties and goals, we will then work with you, your family, business or service to provide a private therapy plan that promotes mental health and wellbeing.

Training & Consultancy

A robust report is completed promptly with the goals and recommendations – Informed by the report, the therapist together with the child or adolescent (individual or group) will produce a therapy plan that is unique to that person or organisation and based upon motivational tasks and activities, therapeutic sessions and outcome measures.

Outreach

The Outreach service is specifically designed for young people that have become isolated from the outside world, remain within their home or room and disengaged from their daily occupations (school, college, work or socialising with friends).

A child or adolescent may be experiencing difficulties with leaving their home due to anxiety and depression, or maybe a sensory processing disorder such as ASD due to difficulties coping with ADL’s (activities of daily living).

Assessments & Reports

All therapeutic interventions will firstly require an initial appointment and potentially a period of assessment. Informing baseline information is a vital part of the Occupational Therapy and information gathering process and is based on individual or group context, circumstances and need.

We will want to assess the ability of the young person to engage in their activities of daily living (cooking, cleaning, washing, dressing and sleeping), within the areas of occupational performance (Productivity- going to school, college or work; Self care- washing, dressing and going to sleep, Socialising- with friends and independently).

If we are assessing your ability as a business or service to provide a supportive mentally healthy environment, we will be required to assess you carrying out normal delivery of the service, to identify strengths and potential areas for improvement.

Based on the information gained during the assessment period, a therapy report will be formed to include recommendations. The report and recommendations can be utilised as a professional document, summarising a young person’s strengths and difficulties functioning in everyday life. The report may also be utilised:

  • Seek help from other professionals or services
  • Gain access to benefits and local authority/ government services
  • Gain a better understanding of the mental health or behavioural presentation of your child, students or young people that use your services
  • OR to justify a young person’s ability (or inabilities) to function in their activities of daily living

Please call us today for your free consultation and we will be more than happy to hear from you.

    Outreach

The Outreach service is specially designed for young people that have become isolated from the outside world, remain within their home or room and disengaged from their daily occupations (school, college, work or socialising with friends).

A child or adolescent may be experiencing difficulties with leaving their home environment due to many reasons such as: anxiety, depression or sensory processing disorder; someone with an Autistic spectrum disorder may be experiencing difficulties coping with ADL’s (activities of daily living) and promoting their feelings in relation to this.

Whatever the cause of your difficulties with function and disengagement from life, this may be the cause for your decline in mental health. Depression, for example, will most certainly, negatively impact your ability to function further due to a lack of motivation and low mood.

This situation gives an understandable potential for the further re-enforcement of poor mental health and negative thought processes such as feelings of isolation and worthlessness; Unfortunately, this can also lead to anger, confusion or even self-harm.

The OTEndeavour’s Outreach service can provide intensive therapeutic work starting from home, and aiming for a series of short and long term, therapeutic goals, that promote function, enhances mental health and promotes wellbeing.

    OTEndeavours outreach service can offer:

    • A caring, compassionate and understanding service
    • Sensory processing approaches and sensory diet
    • One to one intensive therapy
    • Parental support to help manage emotional dysregulation and behavioural difficulties
    • Support with self-harming and management of risk
    • A Bespoke treatment plan based around the individual’s interests of the child, such as equine therapy and fishing
